Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary Travel Destination
Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is placed on Chorao Island near of the Mandovi River, north Goa district. This sanctuary was established in 1988. The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is spread in 440 acres area land. The sanctuary has several species of the birds which includes pied avocet, black bittern, red knot, little bittern and jack snipe. The sanctuary visit timing is 6 AM to 6 PM. approx visit duration is 5 hours. The sanctuary charges Rs. 10 per Indian person, Rs. 100 per foreigner and Rs.25 charge extra to camera.
How can reach:- It well connected to all Indian major cities via rail, air and road. It is just 9 kilometers distance from Panaji city. It is well connected via national highway - 17. It is just 40 kilometers far from Margao city which is a main railway station. Margao railway station connects Goa to all Major cities of the India.
